Très illustre maison de la Bretagne, d'une haute antiquité, dont les premiers auteurs connus sont: Radulphe, croisé en 1248 (Chartes latines de 1191 à 1249 relatives aux croisés, provenant du cabinet Courtois); Geoffroy entendu dans l'enquête pour la canonisation de Saint-Yves, en 1330; Pierre, évêque de Tréguier en 1324. La branche aînée fondue vers 1595 dans Kerlèau; la branche de Mezaubran fondue en 1540 dans le Gualès. La branche aînée fondue vers 1445 dans la Haye, par le mariage de Denise, dame, avec Guyomarc'h de la Haye. De cette famille, la seigneurie a passé successivement aux Toupin, des Seillons, le Chossec et le Gouz; la branche de Kervidou fondue dans le Borgne: René vivant en 1489, époux de Jeanne Cheminée, frère aîné de Julien, seigneur de la Cormosaye, par donation de la duchesse Anne en 1488; Marie, veuve en 1669 de François Billouart, seigneur de Kerbernez; Guillaume maire de Nantes en 1685.
