Famiglia del Logudoro le cui notizie risalgono al secolo XVI. Si conoscono due rami della famiglia ma non è possibile sapere il nesso genealogico tra loro. Il primo è il ramo sassarese che discende da un Francesco, vicario reale della città, che nel 1528 comandò la fanteria contro i francesi e che fu armato cavaliere da Carlo V nel 1541. Suo figlio nel 1558 fu ammesso allo stamento militare durante il Parlamento Madrigal. Nel 1615 suo nipote, un altro Francesco, ottenne la nobiltà; la sua discendenza continuò a risiedere a Sassari dove si estinse nel secolo XVIII. L'altro ramo discende da Andrea originario di Alghero. Eglie ra notaio e, nella seconda metà del '500, si trasferì a Cagliari dove acquistò la signoria della scrivania di Cagliari.
