Antica ed assai nobile famiglia spagnola, di chiara ed avita virtù, propagatasi, nel corso dei secoli, in diverse regioni di Spagna, d'Italia e del mondo. La chiara nobiltà di questa casata risulta ulteriormente confermata dalla sua presenza in alcuni dei più pregevoli armoriali di Spagna, tra cui il "Repertorio de blasones de la comunidad hispánica - letras A-B-C-CH" di Vicente de Cadenas y Vicent (29 Aprile 1915 – 21 Dicembre 2005), "cronista rey de Armas" del Regno di Spagna. I primi riferimenti a questa casata si hanno già nel XIII secolo. Alcuni cavalieri della famiglia Estacio figurano infatti tra coloro che presero parte alla campagna di re Sancho VII (1215) per la conquista di diverse località valenciane.
