Godette nobiltà in Palermo. Un Giuseppe servì con oculatezza ed onestà impareggiabili detta città sin dal 1633 nell'amministrazione frumentaria, fu inviato ambasciatore di Palermo al serenissimo Don Giovanni d'Austria e fu custode della Sanità in Palermo; un Dionisio, figlio del precedente, fu capitano negli eserciti di Spagna e con la sua compagnia prese parte alle imprese di Portolongone e di Barcellona; un Federico fu custode della Sanità in Palermo, 1678, e, con non curanza della propria vita, si prodigò in tutti i pericoli di malattie contagiose perchè non solo Palermo ma tutta la Sicilia rimanessero immuni; un Antonino, pure custode di Sanità in Palermo, 1730, fu marito di Maria Maddalena Cangiamila, investita del titolo di barone di San Sebastiano a 22 ottobre 1753; un Federico Estremola e Cangiamila, anche egli custode di Sanità in Palermo, fu confrate della nobile compagnia della Carità, ottenne a 15 marzo 1763 ampio attestato
