Ferman family ascribed to the first nobility. He gave distinguished men among whom the figure of card. Tommaso (b. In 1779 and dec. In 1852) who was secretary of state of the Supreme Bridge in very difficult times, chamberlain of the Sacred College and Chancellor of SRC Alessandro, bishop of Loreto and Recanati (1833), prelate of Gregory XVI, assistant bishop to the throne. Even the Evangelists, ascribed to the patriciate of Fermo since 1547, gave several distinguished men, including Giulio, comm. of S. Stefano di Toscana, and Alessandro knight of the same order; these with his mother Margherita Graziani and his sister Chiara revived the ancient Sanctuary of S. Maria della Stella in Marina Palmense. With Decr. Luog. Feb 4 1917 the family was authorized to add the surname Evangelista. Family motto: Fidelis et prudens.
