Antichissima ed illustre famiglia, di parte Lambertazza. Nel 1264 Ognibene Falcina, che era stato scacciato dalla patria perché appartenente a questa fazione, fu graziato e rientrò in Bologna, ma nel 1288 Giovanni Falcina, di Manfredino, fu uno dei 400 banditi per gli intestini rivolgimenti. Un altro Giovanni fu insigne Dott. di leggi, nel 1297 ambasciatore dei Bolognesi in Toscana, nel 1298 a Milano, nel 1304 in Romagna, e nel 1307 eletto nello studio a patizione degli scolari. Guido fu degli anziani nel 1263, e Giuliano nel 1293. Bartoluccio, nel 1347, fece parte del Consiglio generale eletto in seguito alla morte di Taddeo Pepoli, e finalmente Nicolò nel 1611 fu fatto cavaliere aurato. Altro ramo.
