Ancient and noble family of the Kingdom of Sicily called Fasanella, Fasanelli or Fasanello has spread over the centuries in different regions of Italy. He enjoyed nobility in Bisignano, and the lordship of thirty-three fiefs with the counties of S. Angelo and Fasanella and of San Pietro in Galatina. Pandolfo, executioner of Bari in 1275, and Roman senator. Matteo governor of Calabria Ultra in 1271. Riccardo, Roberto and Pandolfo took part in the conspiracy of the barons. To this family belonged the title of Count, a title that was raised by the emperors to those who were at their side.
