Tra gli aggiunti al pubblico Consiglio di Modena, per il periodo dal 1424 al 1431 figura un Antonio. E' famiglia antica e di condizione civile adunque, e anche doviziosa se nel 1692 un membro di essa, Cesare, poteva spendere una somma ingente nella costruzione del ricco e maestoso altare marmoreo del SS Crocifisso che tuttora si ammira nella Chiesa votiva di Modena. L'11 dicembre 1775 Francesco per se e discendenti maschi in perpetuo otteneva dal Consiglio dei Conservatori di esser ammesso al ceto conservatorio e inscritto nel Libro d'oro della nobiltà modenese. L'anno 1816 la famiglia veniva iscritta nel ricostituito Libro d'oro. Degno di ricordo è don Ferdinando (al sec. Andrea), ex monaco Cassinese, poi canonico della cattedrale, erudito e valente riordinatore dell'Archivio Capitolare Modenese. Membri viventi: Vincenzo, di Carlo, di Vincenzo, di Francesco, nato il 30 giugno 1845. Figli: Maria Pia, nata il 17 ottobre 1870; Matilde in Pedroli,
