Originari di Lione, stabilitisi in Torino, all'epoca del dominio francese, con Giovanni che era munizioniere del Re di Francia e che acquistò (7 novembre 1549) una casa in Torino, in piazza Castello, 14, ora casa Gianoli, dove teneva un trincotto. Il figlio Giuseppe arricchì nelle imprese, specialmente in quella del tabacco. Da Vittoria Marignano procreò Giovanni che nel 1612 era gentiluomo d'artiglieria. Da costui e dalla moglie Anna Amedea Sandri Trotti del cav. Ascanio, legittimata per Lettere ducali (1620), nacquero fra altri figli, l'avvocato Giacomo Giuseppe, che ebbe riconosciuto coi fratelli l'arma gentilizia (3 maggio 1670) e Francesco Giacinto (n. Torino, 21 febbraio 1636; dec. 29 aprile 1716) che acquistava negli anni 1674-1675 una metà del feudo di Bosses e ne veniva investito il I° marzo 1681 col titolo signorile e con la qualità di Pari del ducato d'Aosta.
