Nobili di Gravina di Puglia. Ebbero sede in Terra di Bari, dal 1400 in Barletta. Famiglia originaria di Spagna (Meninnos) definitivamente si stabilì nel reame di Napoli nel 1523 all'epoca del Vicerè D. Carlo di Lanoja. RR. Pat. del 1613 di Filippo III di Spagna. Verso la metà del '600 la famiglia parzialmente lascia Gravina diramandosi in progressione di tempo a Sannicandro di Bari, Altamura, Terlizzi, Napoli, San Vito al Tagliamento e Mendrisio. Federico, nato a Gravina, famoso poeta marinista del '600 (anche valente medico) fu titolare della cattedra di lingua italiana all'Università di Padova. E' sepolto a Napoli. Ottaviano, nato a San Vito al Tagliamento, anche lui celebre poeta, membro dell'Accademia di Venezia nel secolo XVI, amministrò la giustizia in parecchie città venete. Saverio, nel maggio del 1799 salvò Gravina dopo un incontro col Cardinale Ruffo, evitando l'occupazione della città da parte delle truppe sanfediste; si ritirò a
