Originalmente da cidade de Córdoba, na Espanha, transplantado para o reino de Nápoles por um Giacomo di Ferdinando ou Fernandez premiado com postos militares sob o Grande Capitão Consalvo e investido com o nobre e importante escritório de castellano di Trani. Francesco de seu filho, casado em 1509, Rella Fanelli, um nobre de Bari, mudou-se para Bari e conseguiu se matricular na Ordem dos cidadãos primários. O ilustre jurisconsulto e advogado de Giambattista na Corte da Polônia obteve do rei Sigismund em 1526 o privilégio de usar os braços do Grão-Ducado da Lituânia e outras nobres prerrogativas em seu brasão. Hoje não há notícias desta família. Outro ramo. Família antiga e nobre originária de Gênova. O comendador GB de Crollalanza relata o brasão desta família nos volumes de seu histórico dicionário de brasões das nobres e notáveis famílias italianas.
