Família espanhola antiga e ilustre, originária da união de duas famílias muito claras: os Ferndandez e os Garcia. A família Fernandez é uma família espanhola feudal que, pelo casamento de um Rodrigo de Pastragua com Anna Portugal, adquiriu os senhorios de Aggius, Orani e Terranova, na segunda metade do século XVI.
