Antiga e muito nobre família lombarda, de virtude clara e ancestral, espalhou-se ao longo dos séculos por diferentes regiões da Itália e do mundo, com povoamentos maiores na América do Sul. Em Brescia, a família aparece desde o século X. Depois da guerra entre Veneza e os Visconti e sobretudo quando foi ganho o cerco de Nicolo Piccinino, graças ao valor dos cidadãos, os dois primeiros irmãos, Giorgio e Nicolino Feroldi, estiveram entre os primeiros. Esta família foi então atribuída ao Conselho Geral da cidade, quando foi fechada, em 1488. No alvorecer do século X, o patriciado de Brescia foi dividido entre aqueles que se aliaram a Veneza e aqueles aliados aos franceses: para este último era a festa guiada. por Advogadro e Gambara e com eles estava Giacomo Feroldi, que estava então em 1509 encarregado de trazer a rendição de Brescia ao rei Louis XII.
