Ancient and noble family from Sartirana, Lovellina, which has resided in Pavia, Cuneo, Turin and Savona. The tradition wants that it arose from Raffaele of Sartirana, doctor in Pavia, who settled in Cuneo, during the XV century. Anyway, the family, which has the title of count, with the predicate of Bagnolo, sees its certain genealogy begin with a John Matthew, doctor in law, who gave the weapon in 1613.
