Sucursal de la casa Ferrari en Cosenza, según un certificado de los regímenes de Matera producido en el SMO de Malta por Giusepe y Nicola Ferrari de Matera en 1796. En Basilicata, los recuerdos más antiguos de esta familia se remontan a un Giovanni Ferrario, elegido Coleccionista en 1282 de Pecunia de la Universidad de Saponara.
