Famiglia algherese di origine catalana le cui notizie risalgono al secolo XV. Nel 1420 un Antonio ottenne il riconoscimento della generosità. Suo figlio Gisperto partecipò all'assedio del castello di Monteleone ed in ricompensa del suo valore nel 1436 ottenne in feudo la signoria di Vesos e quella del salto di Ruda e nel 1436 quella del salto di Campo di Bous. Nel 1440 lo stesso Gispereto ebbe il cavalierato ereditario. I suoi figli nel 1446 vendettero il salto di Ruda ai Boyl e nel 1457 quello del Campo di Bous ai Zatrillas. Nel secolo XVI il capitano Gerolamo contribuì alla fondazione del collegio dei gesuiti ad Alghero. Suo nipote, un altro Gerolamo, capitano della fanteria di Sassari, nel 1620 ottenne il riconoscimento della nobiltà. Nel 1660 ebbero la signoria di Vesos elevata in marchesato con il titolo di Valverde. Della famiglia non si ebbero più notizie dal secolo XVIII.
