Antica ed illustre famiglia veneta, di chiara ed avita virtù, propagatasi, nel corso dei secoli, in diverse regioni d'Italia e del Mondo, con un cospicuo insediamento in Brasile. La famiglia, di origine vicentina, si era arricchita con il commercio dei metalli preziosi e, nel XVIII secolo, era stimata tra le più ricche di Padova. Nell'anno 1690, la famiglia, a seguito dell'elargizione di cinquemila ducati, fu ascritta al nobile Consiglio di Padova, in persona di Pellegrino ed Iseppo; nobiltà confermata con Sovrana Risoluzione di Sua Maestà I.R.A. del 23 marzo 1819. Nel 1709 Federico IV, re di Danimarca, con diploma 4 maggio di detto anno, elevò alla dignità di Conte il detto Pellegrino, insieme alla moglie ed i legittimi discendenti. Il Governo Veneto, con decreto 8 marzo 1710, riconobbe il menzionato titolo comitale, ordinando l'iscrizione dei membri della famiglia Ferri nell'aureo Libro dei Titolati. Sua Maestà I.R.A. ha accordato detta iscrizione,
