Uma família antiga e muito ilustre, chamada Ferrigno ou Ferrigni, originalmente de Maiuri, mudou-se para residir em Bari em 1595, que, depois de herdar a riqueza da família Pisone, foi agregada à Piazza dei Nobili, com resolução de 26 de maio de 1789 e Sovereign Consentimento ao mesmo comunicado, em 6 de fevereiro de 1795.
