En Aragón, Navarra, León y Galicia radicaron muchas familias de este apellido, distintas entre sí. Esteban F., aragonés, pertenecía en 1418 a la Cofradía de Caballeros de Calatayud, y Martín F., vecino de Acumuer (Huesca), fué hidalgo en el maravedí de 1582. En Navarra hubo casa principal de F. en la villa de Miranda de Araga, del partido judicial de Tafalla. En la provincia de León se difundió notablemente el apellido que nos ocupa y fueron numerosos los F. leoneses que probaron su hidalguía en los siglos XVI, XVII y XVIII, conservándose sus expedientes en la Real Chancillería de Valladolid. En Galicia fueron de notoria nobleza las familias F. que tuvieron casas en Verín y en Celanova, ésta con rama en La Coruña. De la casa de Miranda de Arga fué Pedro F., natural de Miranda de Arga, que en su mujer doña Martina López, de la misma naturaleza, tuvo a José F. y López, natural de Miranda de Arga, que casó con doña Agueda Enríquez y Cearrote, de igual naturaleza, y procrearon estos hijos: Pablo F. y Enríquez, que sigue, y Pedro José F. y Enríquez, natural de Miranda de Arga, Ayudante Mayor de Guardias Españolas y Caballero de la Orden de Santiago, en la que ingresó el 4 de Mayo de 1723. Pablo F. y Enríquez, natural de Miranda de Arga, contrajo matrimonio con doña María Joaquina Lope-García, natural de Mañeru, del partido judicial de Estella, y fueron padres de Joaquín F. y Lope-García, natural de Urgel y Caballero de la Orden de Carlos III, con fecha 30 de Julio de 1791.
