La muy antigua y noble familia Filigheddu es la rama sarda de los Filangieri, el apellido modificado por las causas habituales de la pronunciación del dialecto y la forma de interpretar los apellidos en la escritura. La familia Norman Oriunda dice que los Villabianca, y no el rico, dicen que fueron traídos a Nápoles por un valiente guerrero normando Angerio, seguido de tener las banderas del duque Roberto Guiscardo alrededor de 1045, por lo tanto, por sus gloriosos actos llamados con el epíteto de viri extenuante y obtuvo del ruggiero duque de Puglia el castillo de S.
