Die alte und berühmte Familie Piacenza, von der bestimmte Erinnerungen bis ins Jahr 840 zurückreichen, in welchem Jahr in einem Vertrag zwischen verschiedenen Bürgern von Piacenza auf dem Platz der Söhne von Oddone Oddone und Corrado Filiodoni gefeiert wurden. Später, nämlich 1145, war ein Obizzo F. einer der Konsuln von Piacenza, und 1189 hatte auch Obizzone Novello derselben Familie dieselbe Position. Im Jahr 1200 wurden die Brüder Rainerio und Oddone F. vom Marquis Pallavicini von der Hälfte der Burg und des Territoriums von Scipione investiert. Im Jahr 1300 finden wir Guelfo F. podestà von Mailand. Aber wer mehr als jeder andere dieser berühmten Familie Ehre machte, war Danasio Filiodoni, geboren 1510, Bürgermeister von Mailand, 1550, und Cremona, 1555, dann 1570 zum Präsidenten des außerordentlichen Magistrats ernannt; 1576 Regent des Staates Mailand am Hof von Madrid und 1579 Großkanzler des Staates Mailand, dessen hohes Amt er bis zu seinem Tod 1591
