Très ancienne et noble famille sorrentine, enregistrée au siège Porta de cette ville, qui passa à Bisceglie au XIIIe siècle. Parmi les personnages qui l'ont le plus illustré, on retiendra : Filippo-Antonio, écuyer d'Angilberto del Balzo, comte d'Ugento, en 1460 ; Giovan-Battista qui au XVIe siècle a milité avec beaucoup d'éloges sous les Vénitiens et qui dans la bataille de Zara contre les Turcs a remporté les premiers honneurs de la victoire ; Octave, soldat et maréchal du roi Ladislao Durazzo d'Angiò. La famille a été réécrite dans le patriciat de Sorrente, à la fois en 1572 et en 1722, par le Sacro Regio Consiglio. Il a été reconnu dans le titre de noble, avec le décret ministériel de 1907. La famille, qui est inscrite dans le Livre d'Or de la Noblesse Italienne et dans la Liste Officielle de la Noblesse Italienne de 1922, a pris les armes. Lion bleu
