Ancienne et noble famille toscane qui s'est installée en Sicile au XVIIIe siècle et, en particulier, dans la ville de Brontë. Certains membres de la famille ont ensuite déménagé à Acireale et à Palerme, tandis que la branche des Fiorini de Bronte, après un certain temps, s'est éteinte faute d'héritiers. Le chevalier Martino Fiorini, appartenant à la branche de la famille qui s'est installée à Acireale, a acheté la construction de la propriété Baron Calì située le long de la rue San Carlo, et c'est à cet endroit qu'entre la fin du '800 et le début du '900 il a construit le palais que nous pouvons admirer aujourd'hui, non seulement à l'extérieur mais aussi à l'intérieur.
