Ancient and noble family from Assisi, which distinguished itself actively in the wars between this city, Perugia and the other surrounding areas, that has worldwide spread, over the centuries. This House was part of the faction called "Parte di sotto" (= underside). Uguccione and Guido Fiumi, father and son, were among the most daring and fearful leaders, imposing their "podesteria" even in the distant Orvieto. Eager for command and business, they served under the orders of Braccio Fortebraccio, Count of Montone, the famous captain of fortune in 1397 in the fight against Biordo Michelotti, reconquering the lost homeland. Guido became chief magistrate of Orvieto in the year 1309; in 1381 Lello obtained the podesteria of Montefeltro and in 1390 he became captain of the people in Todi; Merollino was Royal vicar in Leonessa in 1342; Gentile Fiumi was Lord of Sterpeto since 1384; an other Guido militated under the orders
