Antica famiglia Lucchese, detta nel secolo XIII de' Bujoli e chiamata poi con l'omonimo cognome nei luoghi di loro proiprietà. Ebbe numerosi anziani nella repubblica dal secolo XIV al XVIII, e nel secolo XV alcuni maestri della zecca di Lucca. Il più noto della fam. è Lazzaro, dovizioso mercante, che fece erigere nel 1309 la chiesa di S. Maria e S.Francesco nei borghi della città, donandola ai Frati Minori. Fu padre di Bonaccorso, detto Cosciorino, che sposò Gentucca Morla, la giovinetta che avrebbe fatto piacere Lucca a Dante; secondo la profezia di Bonagiunta Orbicciani. Nel 1541, il capitano Paolino difese Anversa contro gli Spagnoli. Angelo, letterato del secolo XiX fu collaboratore del giornale liberale. La riforma e pubblicò le lettere dell'Ariosto alla signoria di Lucca. Ebbero le case in via S.Croce, nel Foligno e presso S.Benedetto del Gallo; le sepolture in S. Francesco.
