Este apellido es francés y procede de la villa de Acous, en el Bearne. Pasó a España, quedando radicado en Zaragoza. De esta rama zaragozana proceden los Marqueses de la Torre. Beltrán F., natural de Acous, fué esposo de doña Engracia de Aronce, natural de Cette, y en ella procreó a Beltrán F. y Aronce, natural de Acous, que casó con doña María Lostal, natural de Zaragoza, y fueron padres de José F. y Lostal, natural de Zaragoza y Marqués de la Torre, que contrajo matrimonio con doña Andrea Ondiano, de la misma naturaleza, y tuvieron estos hijos: josé F. Ondiano, natural de Zaragoza, Marqués de la Torre, Brigadier Coronel del Regimiento de Lombardía y Caballero de la Orden de Santiago, en la que ingresó el 23 de Noviembre de 1767, y Joaquín F. Ondiano, natural de Zaragoza, Coronel de Infantería, Comandante del Batallón de Voluntarios de Aragón y de la misma Orden de Santiago, con igual fecha que su hermano. El citado título de marqués de la Torre, era la procedencia extranjera, y por Real despacho de 30 de Agosto de 1879, se autorizó para usarlo en España a don Narciso de F. y de Sentmenat, descendiente de los anteriores.
