Alte und sehr edle abruzzesische Familie, ursprünglich aus L'Aquila stammend und nach Neapel übergegangen, von klarer und überlieferter Tugend, die sich über die Jahrhunderte in verschiedenen Regionen Italiens verbreitet hat und einen auffälligen Zweig in Sizilien und Europa hat. Das Haus wurde am 20. Juni 1815 mit dem Titel Marquis in der Person von Antonio geschmückt. Dieser Titel wurde durch Ministerialdekret vom 27. Juni 1896 an Antonio von Horace von Antonio anerkannt. Die Familie ist in das Goldene Buch des italienischen Adels und in die offizielle Liste der italienischen Adligen mit dem Titel Marquis (erstgeborener Mann) in der Person von Carlo Enrico, Antonio und der Frau Stefania Starrabba von den Fürsten von Giardinelli eingetragen, die am 4. verheiratet sind März 1894 mit der edlen Antonia Lanza der Fürsten von Mirto, die am 26.
