Family among the oldest in Venice; it had tribunes and in the lockout of the Great Council of 1297 it remained among the patricians. It had important subjects for political and administrative value. Leonardo, after having supported with supreme virtue the General Provisional of Dalmatia and Albania, a very important office in those days, in 1647 was elected Procurator of S. Marco and in 1651 Generalissimo di mare. He had a palace in S.Vio. Alexander of Daulus Augustus was confirmed in the nobility with Austrian Sovereign Resolution 11 November 1817 and so also his brothers Marco and Leonardo and Francesco obtained the same with the Austrian Sovereign Resolution 16 November 1817. They are registered in the Official Noble List: Tommasina Giovanni Battista, Giorgio, sister: Francesca; Luisa, from Vincenzo, from Giov. Baptist, sister: Emma; Anna Giuseppina, born Venice March 24, 1853, of Daulo, Francesco and Luigia Cornaggia Medici. Other branch: (deceased)
