Benedetto, di Cristoforo Marini, addottorato in diritto civile e canonico nell'Universitá di Pisa, sposó il 25 aprile 1613 Delia Folli, nobile di S. Sepolcro. Il figlio Alessandro sposó nel 1661 Margherita del conte Bartolomeo F., dalla quale gli nacquero Ranieri Benedetto e Pier Girolamo. Ranieri Benedetto, canonico teologo della Cattedrale di S. Sepolcro, fu chiamato all'ereditá della famiglia Franceschini, per testamente del preposto Giovan Battista in data 7 febbraio 1698, con obbligo di assumere, insieme con gli eredi, il casato e l'arme della famiglia; Pier Girolamo, dal quale discendono i F. Marini attuali, fu Gonfaloniere di giustizia di S. Sepolcro nel 1702; carica alla quale furono chiamati poi anche altri della famiglia. La dinastia dei Marini furono ascritti alla nobiltá di S. Sepolcro con decreto 20 aprile 1761.
