Na dedicatória do Idílio, feita ao Senado da cidade de Leontini, é mencionada a origem e passagem para a Sicília da família F., que foi fundada em Leontini sob Nicolò F. senhor Tarentine, descendente de Aurelio F. Este último, tendo sido exilado pelo rei Alfonzo em 1417 por causa da disputa criminal que teve com a família Protonobilissima, tomou como quarto a referida cidade de Leontini, onde trouxe seu filho Francesco, que foi senador daquela em 1431. Também não era nascido de Francesco, Antonio, que morreu em 1488, deixou uma grande propriedade para seus filhos Vicenzo, Antonio, Simone, Pietro e Matteo. Vicenzo era casado com a nobre família Buonaiuto; e Simone casou-se com Margarita, filha de Filippo Arbea, Barão de Sabuci. Ele os procriou com os já mencionados Margarita Arbea, Francesco, Antonio, Matteo, Giovanni, Pietro e Antonello. Também não nasceu igualmente dos pré-narrados Vicenzo F., Giovanni F. e Buonaiuto.
