Este apellido es, sin duda, originario de alguno de los pueblos del mismo nombre que hay en Castilla, probablemente del lugar de Fuenlabrada, del partido judicial Getafe (Madrid), pues en la villa de Casarrubios del Monte, del partido judicial de Illescas (Toledo), que linda con el de Getafe, radicó una familia apellidada así. A ella perteneció Tomás de F., natural de Casarrubios del Monte, que contrajo matrimonio con doña Isabel Credero, de la misma naturaleza y fueron padres de Manuel F. Credero, natural de Casarrubios del Monte, que casó con doña Isabel de la Cava, de igual naturaleza, y tuvieron por hijo a Alfonso F. de la Cava, natural de Casarrubios del Monte, que en su esposa, doña Salvadora Osorio, natural de Granada, procreó a Francisco F. y Gómez Osorio, natural de Granada y Caballero de la Orden de Carlos III, en la que ingresó el 4 de Diciembre de 1789.
