Vari scrittori affermano che la famiglia Dal Cesso era cognominata anche così e Lazzarini o Lazarini Essi era patrizi padovani e, sembra al Gonzati, signori di Bongoforte, villa del padovano detta anticamente del Cesso. Mons. Fortunato Giacomello scrisse che tra le famiglie primarie di Polverara vi erano i Lazzarini del Cesso, i quali godettero dei privilegi dalla Repubblica Veneta; aveva tomba propria nella chiesa del Santo a padova e ricca dimora al ponte delle Torselle. Non è improbabile che i membri della famiglia di Polverara e della vicina Arre abbiano una medesima radice con quella antica e doviziosa dei del Cesso.
