Hebbe chiarissima origine la famiglia ne' Regni d'Aragona, e Valenza dal valore di Pier Guerao di G. cavalier Aragonese, il quale havendosi impiegato a' militar servigi del Rè Pietro IV d'Aragona acquistò tre Ville nel Regno di Valenza, le quali poscia egli diede à Bernardo suo figlio primogenito: ed à Dieco Fernando altro figlio gli donò tutta la Valle di Gallego, e di Valdella, c'haveva nel Regno d'Aragona. Questi fù genitor di Pier Guerao, e di Bernardo. Da Pier Guerao nè nacque Giovanni, che fù padre di Pietro G., il quale riuscì valoroso Cavaliero, perloche andò alla conquista del Messico con Ferdinando Cortese, la cui disciplina celebra Lucio Mauro, nell'Historia dell'India Occidentale, òver conquista della Provintia d'Incatan, e della città del Messico dell'India, e dice, che don Pietro Mutezumma, figlio dell'Imperator del Messico hebbe due sorelle, una fù moglie d'Alfonzo di Grado Cavalier Castigliano, e l'altra nella gentilità fù moglie
