Non fù inferiore à niun'altra famiglia nobile Pisana così interna, come esterna la famiglia G. in Pisa; perloche ella signoreggiò, e la Patria, e molt'altre Ville, e Baronie nella Republica. Andrea G. fù Signor di Pisa nel 1348, che gli successe Pietro suo figlio, il quale fù ucciso con Battista, e Lorenzo suoi figliuoli nel 1391 dall'Appiano potente cittadino Pisano. Procreò anche Andrea à Gerardo, che fù Signor di Scalino. Questi procreò Giovanni, che signoreggiò Pisa, Rainero Maresciallo del Regno di Francia, Antonio, che morì decapitato per ordine del detto Appiano nel 1396, Giacomo, Andrea Arcives. di Pisa, e Pinno genitor d'Antonio. Nè nacque da Giovanni Signor di Pisa, Gerardo Signor di Valdibagno, c'hebbe per moglie Margarita degl'Albizzi, con la quale generò Pietro Signor di Campochiaro, Bartolomeo Commendator di San Giovanni in Fonte; perloche aggiunse nell'arme la Croce di San Gio: Gerosolimitano, Giovanni Baron di Celenza, che si casò con
