Em Castelo de Vide houve uns Garridos que dizem ser dos de Espanha, o que é possível pela proximidade dos territórios. É, porém, menos provável que o primeiro citado pelos genealogistas fosse senhor da Casa de G. e da governança de Castelo de Vide, porquanto era pessoa de condição humilde. Chamava-se este António Gonçalves G. e sua mulher Isabel Freire ou Ferreira, e teve diversos filhos, por um quais provêm os Garridos da Quinta da Bouça, em Panela, ascentedente dos Coutinhos Garridos. Timbre: um lobo do escudo.
