The family has been among the primary and noble of Terni at the head of the Ghibelline party since the century. XIV. In 1390 Giovanni di Cola was a castellan of the fortress of S. Zenone. Maurizio and Lazzaro; in 1802 governor of Fabriano; and then of Rieti and Sabina; in 1816 apostolic delegate of Ancona, of Pesaro Urbino; in 1823 pro-legate in Forlì and then president of the Comarca; he was created cardinal of SRC on July 28, 1832; in the time of his governments he and his brothers and their descendants were aggregated to the various patricians and in fact we have: 1809 Patrizio di Terni; in 1814 Patrizio di Foligno; in 1815 Patrizio di Spoleto; in
