Alte und edle Trentino-Familie mit Wohnsitz in der Stadt Trento. Familienmitglieder erhielten den Titel eines Barons von Engelsbrun. Zahlreiche Autoren der Familie beschrieben Ereignisse und Charaktere, die ihr ohne gültige Bescheinigung verschiedene Ursprünge zuschrieben. Die moderne historische Kritik hat auf der sicheren Grundlage von Dokumenten die künstlichen genealogischen Rekonstruktionen jener Schriftsteller erklärt, die aus selbstgefälligem Geist der Schmeichelei forderten, dass diese Familie von edlen und alten Prosapien wie denen anderer Familien abstammt. Der Commendatore GB von Crollalanza hat in seiner Arbeit "The Historical-Blazon Dictionary" in mehreren Jahrzehnten und mit Hilfe anderer Historiker seine wahre Existenz anhand von Dokumenten und Forschungen verfolgt, die in den vergangenen Jahrhunderten durchgeführt wurden.
