This is a branch of the famous family of Bergamo merchants who has dominated for centuries the trade in clothes of the Gandino Valley, known since the thirteenth century. Enriched with the aforementioned trades it was decorated in the various branches by the imperial nobility from the 16th century having served under the emperor's flags in military functions. The most illustrious branch was that which having been ascribed in 1668 to the Venetian patriciate, had also had numerous fiefdoms, the rank of counts of the Holy Roman Empire and the magnate dignity in Hungary, where it possessed vast goods and finally the title of prince of the Austrian empire. The line currently flourishing in Bolzano had arms recognition in 1564, was granted the imperial nobility on April 1, 1583, the predicate of Gerstburg in 1590; it was inscribed in the Tyrolese serial number in 1618; had in 1790 the title
