Originario de Saboya, traído a Palermo en la segunda mitad del siglo XVII por un Giovan Battista. Un Benedicto era un maestro de la lógica en la corte supernumeraria del Royal Heritage 1709; un Peter, con el privilegio del 3 de mayo de 1712, obtuvo el título de barón de Portaferrata y fue senador de Palermo en los años 1713-14, 1725-26; un Giovan Battista y Texeira, hijo de Pietro, obtuvieron la investidura del título de barón de Portaferrata el 23 de febrero de 1736, compraron el título de marqués de Camporeale, del cual invirtieron el 15 de abril de 1741; Michele fue senador de Palermo en 1768-69; un Domenico, por la muerte sin hijos de su hermano Giovan Battista, obtuvo el título de barón de Portaferrata el 21 de noviembre de 1781. Arma: Truncada: en el primer oro, con la rosa de hoja roja, azotada y verde; en el segundo, plateado, con un corazón rojo, y la banda azul cruzando la partición.
