Alte und sehr edle römische Familie, von klarer und angestammter Tugend, verbreitete sich im Laufe der Jahrhunderte in verschiedenen Regionen Italiens. Nach unseren Überlieferungen stammt die Familie aus dem Adels- und Patriziergeschlecht der Giubilei, deren Mitglieder ihre Domäne ab antico in einer alten Burg oberhalb des Tiberufers hatten, die noch heute ihren Namen trägt. Jedenfalls ist es dieser Familie im Laufe der Jahrzehnte immer wieder gelungen, eine Reihe von Männern hervorzubringen, die sich im öffentlichen Dienst, in den freien und kirchlichen Berufen und im Militärdienst einen Namen gemacht haben. Zu diesen zählen, ohne den Wert des Ausgelassenen zu schmälern: Ascanio, Arzt in "utroque jure", 1554 in Rom lebend; Pietro, Gutsbesitzer aus Latium, Blütezeit 1579; D. Agostino, apostolischer Nuntius, lebte 1592; Gio Batta, Fahnenträger der Heiligen Römischen Kirche, blühte 1616 auf; Tommaso, Notar der Sacra Rota Romana, florierte 1638; P. Angelo vom Orden der reformierten Minderjährigen, der 1653 aufblühte; Antonio, Doktor
