Ancient and notable Italian family, of clear and ancestral virtue, that has worldwide spread, over the centuries. According to what has been handed down, the family belongs to the same lineage of the noble House Cini. The different surname is due to changes in phonetics of the dialectal articles: Cini, i Cini, li Cini, Licini, gli Cini and then Glicini. The Cini family was very noble in Tuscany and precisely in the city of Florence, having given twelve priors to the homeland, from 1413 to 1414. The original branch of the Cini became extinct in 1673 but the collateral branches spread in Osimo, Rome and Ferrara. The family moved to Osimo in the year 1500 from where it then moved to Rome, where it distinguished itself with a Francesco, bishop of Macerata and Tolentino in 1667. In Ferrara, however, the Cini family appeared from the eighteenth century. The Glicini family
