Alte und bemerkenswerte italienische Familie von klarer und überlieferter Tugend, die sich im Laufe der Jahrhunderte weltweit verbreitet hat. Nach den Überlieferungen gehört die Familie zur gleichen Linie wie das Adelshaus Cini. Der unterschiedliche Nachname ist auf Änderungen in der Phonetik der dialektalen Artikel zurückzuführen: Cini, i Cini, li Cini, Licini, gli Cini und dann Glicini. Die Familie Cini war in der Toskana und genau in der Stadt Florenz sehr edel, nachdem sie der Heimat von 1413 bis 1414 zwölf Priors gegeben hatte. Der ursprüngliche Zweig der Cini erlosch 1673, aber die Nebenzweige breiteten sich in Osimo, Rom und Ferrara aus . Die Familie zog im Jahr 1500 nach Osimo, von wo aus sie nach Rom zog, wo sie sich 1667 mit einem Francesco, Bischof von Macerata und Tolentino, auszeichnete. In Ferrara erschien die Familie Cini jedoch ab dem 18. Jahrhundert. Die Familie Glicini stammt von diesen Nebenzweigen ab. Aus
