Antica ed illustre famiglia italiana, sorta dall'unione, probabilmente per via matrimoniale, di due nobili casate: i Gobbi ed i Frattini. La famiglia Gobbi è originaria Piacenza ed il suo blasone trovasi descritto nella "Raccolta Pallastrelli", della Biblioteca Civica di quella città. Si ricorda un Giovanni Gobbi, preposto della canonica di S.Eufemia in Piacenza, creato da Gregorio X, nel 1274, vescovo di Bobbio; un Giovanni Gobbi e la moglie Barbara Cicala, che acquistarono dei beni dell'opera della B.V. dello Stirone nel 1694; questi fu creato nobile (mf.), con privilegio ducale del 5 marzo 1703. Un Giovanni Maria Gobbi, nel 1660, ed un Alessandro Gobbi, nel 1689, fecero una locazione con la Camera ducale del posto della Trebbia. Un Giovan Carlo Gobbi, notaio, ricevette dalla Camera ducale la procura di prender possesso dei feudi di Villò, Albarola, Colonnese, Caselle, Alseno e Chiavenna Landi nel 1739; un Antonio, nel 1707, veniva creato cappellano
