Família italiana antiga e ilustre, nascida da união, provavelmente por casamento, de duas famílias nobres: os Gobbi e os Frattini. A família Gobbi é originária de Piacenza e seu brasão é descrito na "Coleção Pallastrelli" da Biblioteca Cívica daquela cidade. Lembramos de Giovanni Gobbi, chefe da reitoria de S. Eufemia em Piacenza, criado por Gregorio X, em 1274, bispo de Bobbio; Giovanni Gobbi e sua esposa Barbara Cicala, que compraram mercadorias da obra do BV dello Stirone em 1694; ele foi criado nobre (mf.), com privilégio ducal em 5 de março de 1703. Giovanni Maria Gobbi, em 1660, e Alessandro Gobbi, em 1689, fizeram um contrato de arrendamento com a Câmara Ducal do local de Trebbia. Um notário Giovan Carlo Gobbi recebeu a procuração para tomar posse dos feudos de Villò, Albarola, Colonnese, Caselle, Alseno e Chiavenna Landi da Câmara Ducal em 1739; um Antonio, em 1707, foi criado capelão
