Ancient and noble German family, of clear and ancestral virtue, that has worldwide spread, over the centuries. This very noble family is originally from Laufen, in Bavaria. Already at the end of the 15th century the members of this family had acquired the castle and the lordship of Lampoding (today Kirchanschöring, district of Traunstein) and in fact over time they were known as Gold von Lampoding. Subsequently they moved to reside in Salzburg and were soon aggregated to that nobility, as is also clear from the confirmation dated February 1, 1531. Sebastian Gold von Lampoding was lord of Senfteneck in 1550. Emeram Gold von Lampoding bought the Grillenhöfe noble residence in 1576 and his sons, Erasmus and Wolfgang Rudolph, inherited it in 1586. In 1614, Wolfgang Rudolph Gold von Lampoding was privy councilor and chamberlain of Archduke Leopold. Erasmus Gold von Lampoding († 10 August 1623) became provincial marshal of

On an escutcheon azure, a sword and a pen per saltire environed by a laurel wreath. Two helmets crowned. Crest: 1° on a man, vested gules, crowned or, holding a bugle-horn with is sinister hand, the dexter leaning on his hip, a crescent argent, all between two proboscides gules; 2° a rose gules, between two wings conjoined argent.
