Ancient and noble German family, of clear and ancestral virtue, that has worldwide spread, over the centuries. This family is in fact originally from Wismar, city in Northern Germany, in the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, but has noble branches also in Switzerland. The first family member we know of is a Johann Ollifex Grapengiesser, flourishing in the year 1302.
