La bibliografia a cui noi ci attenemmo "Cenni Storici sulle famiglie di Padova, e sui monumenti dell'università, premesso un breve trattato sull'araldica", stampato in Padova, coi tipi della Minerva nel 1842, riferisce essere questa una nobile ed antica famiglia di origine Veneta, ove occupava co' suoi discendenti le cariche di quelle città. Lo stemma della famiglia Gratiani di Treviso è: D'azzurro, ad un sole d'oro, caricato di un anelletto del campo.
