Ancient and very noble Lombard family, with residence in the city of Brescia, called Gravatari or Gravati, which has spread over the centuries in various cities in the north of Italy. The original branch, known as Gravatari, is extinct; however Calvi mentions it in his work entitled "Il Patriziato Milanese", printed in Milan, by Borroni in 1875, and moreover the family continues to exist in its collateral branches. Furthermore, in the unfolding of its luster, it has always managed to produce a series of men who made his name famous, in public employment, in liberal and ecclesiastical professions and in military service. Among these, without risking anything to the value of the omitted, there are: Giacomo, jurist in Brescia, flourishing in 1508; Giacomo Maria, doctor in "utroque jure", living in Brescia, in 1513; Alessandro, landowner, flourishing in 1535; Agostino Maria, professional soldier, flourishing in 1567; Federico, doctor in "utroque jure",
