Ancienne et très noble famille lombarde, avec résidence dans la ville de Brescia, appelée Gravatari ou Gravati, répartie au cours des siècles dans diverses villes du nord de l'Italie. La branche d'origine, connue sous le nom de Gravatari, est éteinte ; cependant Calvi le mentionne dans son ouvrage intitulé "Il Patriziato Milanese", imprimé à Milan, par Borroni en 1875, et de plus la famille continue d'exister dans ses branches collatérales.
