Ursprünglich aus Greco, einer Stadt in der Lombardei, die er als Vasall des Klosters S. Sempliciano in Mailand unterhielt und nach der er seinen Namen erhielt, indem er zuerst Greco, dann Greco de Greci, Grechi und schließlich Grechi sagte. Monsignore Andrea Greco, Kapitularvikar der Metropole Mailand, starb 1501 in Codogno, wo er als Testament Spenden an den Präposturalen leistete. Ein Giambattista notajo in Lodi im Jahr 1614. Ein anderer Giambattista gründete 1714 eine Laienkapelle und in den letzten Jahren dieser Republik einen dritten Giambattista-Richter in Venedig. Die Familie Grechi hob die Arme: Inquartato; im ersten und viertel Blau mit der goldenen Lilie; im zweiten und dritten Silber der bartlose männliche Teintkopf, schwarze Dreifaltigkeit, rot verdreht, der Aufstand im zweiten Quartal. Die Rahmung durch ein zweireihiges rot-goldenes Kreuz geteilt.
